Shoulder Pain Rehab
Shoulder pain can result from a sports injury or falling injury, or it can gradually increase over time. Shoulder pain limits your ability to work, sleep, or do the things you love. In many cases, the shoulder is where the pain is, but it’s not the source of the problem — sometimes it’s the neck, other times it’s poor posture. The physical therapists at SSOR are astute at evaluating the shoulder and devising a plan of care that is evidence-based and effective.
After an initial evaluation, we’ll provide you with a comprehensive home exercise program that will address your impairments. If you’ve had surgery, we’ll work closely with your physician to ensure that your protocol is followed. Our treatment plan centers on manual therapy to the shoulder and surrounding soft tissues, as well as specific exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff and scapular muscles. If you need any more convincing that SSOR is your destination of choice, we’re home to Kansas City’s only knee/shoulder fellowship-trained physical therapist.
Remember, you don’t need a script from a physician to see us; give us a call.
